MasterBath

The small master bathroom was entirely rebuilt in 2021.

Partially rotted/water damaged floor boards (2x8) were replaced, then a layer of OSB, a layer of cement board, and finished with mosaic marble tile. Drywall was removed and replaced on every wall except the exterior wall, (to keep the blown insulation contained), but a new layer of drywall was added to that wall. Feed pipes and drain for the sink had to be extended to a height compatible with modern vanities.

The window was replaced in October 2023 as part of the whole house window replacement project.

Electrical note. The main switch box also acts as a junction box for all the electrical in this bathroom, as well as the tub/shower alcove of the main bathroom, and the outlet in the Master Bedroom on the opposite side of the wall where it is installed.
